Perry Williams

Perry Williams is the Director of Sports Management at Long Island University Post (LIU). He is an alum of Fairleigh Dickinson University- through the NFL degree completion program where he received an MS degree in Public Administration.  Perry earned a Criminal Justice/Sociology Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina State where he played college football.

He played Cornerback for the NY Giants from 1984 to 1993 where he won two Super Bowls. Upon retirement from the NFL, he chose to pursue a career in higher education to give back to the community. He wanted to make a direct impact and help those around me, especially students.

For over 30 years, both as FDU’s Outreach Director and through his own initiatives, Perry has conducted and instituted mentoring programs at over 800 (K-12) public, private and charter schools in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, and over 600 (K-12) schools, nationwide, effecting the lives over 3 million youth. Perry’s mentoring programs: The Make a Difference (MAD) Program; Focus from Day 1 Program; The Leadership Success Program; and The Perry Williams 3-Sport Challenge. In 2021, he was appointed Special Deputy with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office in a new role to inspire youth on Long Island.
