Dennis Fiszer

Dennis Fiszer provides compliance and consulting services for HUB International regarding health plans and other employee benefits. His areas of expertise include all aspects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), wellness programs, employment and labor issues, cafeteria plans, and compliance with Internal Revenue Code requirements for favorable tax treatment of benefits.

Dennis is a widely recognized speaker on employee health benefits and human resources issues. Key project work has recently included formulating and executing agenda, coursework and materials for eight-hour, “Boot Camps” to train producers and account executives. He has also led numerous ACA Reporting, HIPAA privacy, COBRA, MSP, MHP, ADA, CDHP and claims procedures seminars for clients. He has also coordinated similar programs internally as an organizational resource.

Dennis has an extensive background as a writer and years of experience reviewing client employee handbooks to ensure compliance. Related projects include drafting of summary plan descriptions, and HR forms for self-funded and insured clients. He has also been a regular speaker on healthcare reform, and technical issues under various benefit laws.

Dennis received his undergraduate degree in history from UCLA in 1989, and Juris Doctorate from Boston University in 1992.
