Dave is a Principal with Plante Moran's strategy practice and leads the Planning Perspectives Working Relations practice serving the automotive industry with the premier purchasing organization benchmarking study. With more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, Dave has worked in many positions within the industry including senior vice president and chief economist at the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) and
CFO, director of forecasting, and the executive vice president of research with the Center for Automotive Research (CAR).
Dave earned his Bachelor of Science in business economics and corporate finance from Miami University and his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He is the chairman of the finance committee at SAE International and treasurer of the SAE Detroit Section and a member of the Detroit Economic Club, the Automotive Press Association, and was past president of the Detroit Association for Business Economics.
