Ms. Christine Bell, CPA

Christine Bell has been engaged to work with FEI to support Membership & Chapter Relations.  Most recently she worked as a Professional Recruiter at BGT Recruiting & Consulting, Inc. (BGT) in Knoxville, Tennessee. Christine is President of BGT which she co-founded in 2012 and she remains a co-owner of the company. Christine graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with an undergraduate degree in Business Economics and an emphasis in Accounting. She began her career at Arthur Andersen in the Assurance practice line and left Andersen after 5 years as an Audit Manager. She obtained her MBA with a concentration in Organizational Development at the George Washington University in 2006.
 
Christine was instrumental in establishing the Knoxville FEI chapter in 2009 and has worked as a Co-Chapter Administrator since the Knoxville Chapter’s inception.  During her time with the FEI Knoxville Chapter, the chapter has been awarded the Membership Development Award for chapter growth and the Chapter Excellence Award multiple times.  In 2012, the Knoxville Chapter began a successful CFO of the Year Campaign by partnering with the local Business Journal.   Christine has served on the FEI National Diversity Communications Committee, the FEI Chapter Engagement Model Work Group and was also involved in the task force charged with updating the Chapter Awards Programs for 2017.  Christine presented best-practices information for participating chapters at the 2016 FEI Fall Chapter Leader Workshops held in Morristown, NJ, Seattle, WA and Minneapolis, MN.     
 
Christine previously served as a Captain in the Finance branch of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1997-2003. Christine is a Certified Public Accountant and served on the Board of the Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) from 2007 – 2017 ending her board term as the President of the Knoxville TSCPA Chapter. In 2012, she was recognized by the Knoxville Business Journal as one of Knoxville’s ‘40 Under 40’ professionals and was also named ‘Woman of the Year’ by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Christine was recognized as one of the TSCPA’s “2013 Young Leaders to Watch”.  Christine is active in local charitable endeavors and is a current participant in the Leadership Knoxville class of 2018.  Christine and her two daughters, Maddie and Taylor, reside Knoxville, TN.
