Sara Dioguardi

Sara is expert in planning, developing, and executing large, technically-complex programs through disciplined program management and systems implementation methodology, people management, and change management techniques. She has significant experience building, enhancing, diagnosing, and remedying large programs in IT and in business functions, resulting in dramatic improvements in program success rates, on-time delivery,  and program ROI.
Revenue Recognition Highlights:
Sara leads KPMG’s Technology Enablement revenue recognition practice, which focuses on the planning, design and implementation of process and technology initiatives required to support  the revenue recognition and lease accounting standard changes. She has broad knowledge of the technology implications of the new standards, and experience in the breadth of revenue recognition tools/technologies. She has led numerous clients through the process of selecting the software to best address their specific business requirements.
She is currently assisting numerous clients in assessing the impacts of the accounting changes on their business processes and existing technology, and then helping them develop, design and implement the new processes and systems to address these impacts.

Currently leading a major program, scheduled for summer 2017 Go-Live,  for a large telecommunications provider to implement new software and corresponding redesigned processes to drive compliance to new revenue recognition standard. Program started with translation of accounting impacts into business requirements and functional/data/systems requirements, followed by software package selection and detailed design & configuration. Testing, deployment planning and historical data processing preparation now  in progress.

Leads technology/process team responsible for dozens of in-process projects supporting  clients in achieving compliance to the new revenue recognition and leasing standards, leveraging range of different technology solutions. Frequently serves as subject matter expert on topic of revenue recognition technology impacts.
