FEI ForwardThinking Q3: Fraud in the Time of COVID

Financial executives have been at the center of fighting financial and accounting fraud, adapting as both the players and the schemes have changed with circumstances. But the COVID-19 pandemic unleashed a combination of forces that will take combating fraud to a new level, whether its remote workforces, changes in global supply chain security or hundreds of billions in government assistance pouring into corporate coffers.

The Financial Education and Research Foundation (FERF), in cooperation with Robert Half | Protiviti, will hold live, in-depth panel discussion with anti-fraud professionals that have been fighting financial and accounting scams for decades and are now gearing up for a whole new effort to thwart fraud before it begins.

Margot Cella in her responsibilities at the Center for Audit Quality reports on topics such a corporate culture, SEC enforcement matters and fraud risk. Amidst the pandemic, join us as she and Pam Verick of Protiviti discusses some of the challenges faced.
