As innovation continues to drive change and create value, intellectual property protection is of paramount importance in global finance. Companies must be mindful of how these assets are protected, restored and monetized in order to obtain the best business results.  From patents, copyrights, trade secrets and trademarks, to software licenses and other contracts, intellectual property and intangible assets are a growing percentage of corporate balance sheets.

IP and licensing professionals, CEOs, CFOs, Controllers, M&A heads, general counsel, attorneys, tax professionals, and other industry professionals can learn more about the growing importance of IP protection at the 5th annual Duff & Phelps IP Value Summit taking place November 28-29 at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.

This conference was developed five years ago with the goal of providing our intellectual property industry colleagues and peers with a forum to discuss current events, best practices, and the challenges and opportunities in valuing, managing, monetizing and protecting intellectual property assets in a rapidly-evolving regulatory environment.

Keynote speaker Jonathan (Jon) Wood, Executive Director of Innovation and Collaboration, Bridgestone Americas, Inc. will discuss new considerations for companies in industries that are currently on the verge of disruption.  Stephen Lee, Assistant General Counsel, Intellectual Property, Target Corporation, will deliver our closing keynote address and will discuss the evolution of a brand and the blending of Target’s marketing and IP.

Hear from IP and tax experts during panel discussions like IP of the Future: Discussion of Issues for Disruptive Technologies, Altera-Egos: UnBEATable IP Planning in an Uncertain World, and Cryptocurrency: Current Issues and Trends.
