ESG: What is it and why is it so important?
Presented By

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is a rising issue for large companies. As law-makers, consumers, and the general public demand more sustainable practices from industry leaders, the trickle down effects will impact middle-market companies. We will present the ESG framework and the SEC’s implementation timeline. We will also discuss why private companies should care about ESG and how they can develop a practical process and strategy to assess and measure their ESG risks.

Avnet: At the center of global technology supply chain and right in your backyard!

CEO Phil Gallagher will join FEI’s January meeting to share more about Avnet’s 101-year history and his commitment to expanding Avnet’s presence in our hometown and communities worldwide.

With Jonathan Keyser serving as moderator, some topics that Phil will cover include …

  • Avnet’s staying power in a fast-changing global industry
  • The values that foster a strong corporate culture
  • The growing importance of ESG/DEI programs in business
  • And, why a person’s EQ is a better predictor of success than their IQ

Additionally, Jonathan will ensure plenty of time for the audience to ask Phil questions, including some of his own.
