Top Five CFOs in Arizona Named at Annual Awards Gala

Finance executives from around the state of Arizona gathered last Thursday at Chateau Luxe in Phoenix to recognize and present awards to top chief financial officers from Arizona companies. The 2018 Arizona CFO of the Year Awards, hosted by the Arizona Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI), is considered by area business professionals to be the most prestigious award granted to CFOs in the state of Arizona each year.

The annual awards ceremony, which attracts more than 300 attendees, is in its 12 year. “FEI, in conjunction with our sponsor partners, are grateful for the opportunity to be able to honor the financial executives of Arizona for their outstanding leadership, expertise, and commitment to the financial industry,” said Rachael Piergallini, chapter president. “Congratulations to all our finalists and winners. It is an achievement well-earned and deserved.”

Financial executives were nominated in three different categories, medium private company, large private company, and entrepreneurial company, with an additional winner being selected by chapter sponsors and an award being granted for outstanding community service. This year’s winners included James Walbom of Tiempo Development, Mitchell Moore of Foundation for Senior Living, and Heather Zorge of Western Window Systems. Ruth Engle from TROON Golf won the Sponsors Choice Award, and Paige Insalaco from Trapp Technology won the Community Service Company Award. “It is very gratifying to be recognized for the contributions that we as financial leaders make within our organizations,” said James Walbom, award winner and CFO of Tiempo Development. “I want to thank FEI for their efforts organizing this great event to recognize the exceptional financial leaders we have here in Phoenix.”

The chapter is currently accepting nominations for its annual Controller of the Year Awards, to be held in January. Nomination forms can be downloaded here.
