A Message From Our President - January 2020

As I look back at the first six months as President, I am amazed at what has transpired over such a short period of time. We have held four well attended Baltimore Chapter events and co-sponsored two others.  We have also added Greenspring Advisors as a new sponsor.

The Board and current members have been amazing at publicizing our chapter and bringing us to new heights in terms of making the financial community aware of who we are and what we offer to finance professionals. The coming months will see an impressive lineup of monthly events which include the Ronald McDonald House, The Enoch Pratt Library, Intralytix and the Woman’s Diversity Forum that have been scheduled and several others are in the early stages of being considered.

I would also like to mention that, while we put a lot of focus on the local chapter and our planned events, FEI offers vast resources at the national level to support our members. In addition to the CPE credits you can receive for attending our events, there are online CPE opportunities. FEI Connect also provides frequent updates to current accounting and financial topics and member forums to discuss issues and poll other members as to their experience and opinions of various topics.

I want to continue to encourage all of our members and sponsors to be active, attend our monthly events, support the chapter, and work to identify new potential members and sponsors. This is an ideal forum to develop contacts within the financial community and to enhance your knowledge of the organizations that help shape the fabric of Central Maryland.

Lastly, for those who would like to become more involved in the chapter, we have several opportunities on our various committees and the Board that can always use help in bringing new energy and ideas to the Chapter. Please reach out to myself or any board member if you would like to get more information.
I look forward to the next six months and thank you in advance for your continued involvement and support of the chapter.

Kevin Ridgely
