A Message From Our President - June 2021

As we approach the end of our program year, I believe the pandemic will soon be behind us. I can say with some confidence that we will be back to in-person events beginning this fall. Our programs team is currently reaching out to several organizations to tentatively schedule events.

We have an event scheduled for June 29th on inflation and the COVID-19 economic recovery, which should be a very interesting presentation. This will likely close out our programming for year, as we historically we take a break during the summer months. However, since we have become so adept at virtual programming, if an interesting topic or event presents itself we may elect to schedule the presentation. Keep an eye out for emails regarding summer activities and our plans for the fall.
I can’t say enough how proud I am of our board and sponsors who stepped up this year to schedule a number of great virtual programs while we were unable to hold our traditional meetings. Hopefully you have been able to attend these presentations and even enjoy a beer tasting during one. It would have been easy to fold the tent and ride out the pandemic, but the board and I as well as our sponsors felt it was more important than ever to keep up programming and maintain some level of interaction for our membership. I can’t wait to start seeing everyone in person and to get back to the social interactions that are really the essence of our chapter.

I again want to encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources that FEI offers as part of your membership. In addition, reach out to your fellow members and our chapter sponsors. These contacts are a great resource as you navigate the path to reopening your business and manage any challenges that come your way.

I urge everybody to get vaccinated and stay safe over the summer. Let’s get ready to embrace the joy of in-person programming in the fall.

Best Regards,

Kevin Ridgely
