What is your most rewarding accomplishment as a finance executive?
Instilling a culture of continuous improvement and curating a team of hardworking individuals who are focused on doing the right thing for our investors.
How did you discover your passion for finance?
It happened once I made the pivot to Financial Services and now especially at Ecosystem Investment Partners. Seeing how we can truly deliver the value of nature restored through stream and wetland restoration projects while making a strong return for our investors.
What is one piece of information you wish someone had told you when you first started your finance career?
Take the leaps. If you believe you are smart enough, then take the opportunities when they are put in front of you. You will never regret trying something as long as it pushes you to learn and grow.
What job would you pursue if you weren’t in finance?
I have always enjoyed working with the children in our communities. I currently serve as Trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee to the Walters Art Museum and also serve as a Board Member and Executive Committee Member to Baltimore CASA. Both of these organizations are so important for the children and youth in our local communities. At the Walters we provide free access to beautiful art and history whereas at Baltimore CASA we provide services for children suffering from neglect or abuse. If I weren't in Finance, I would be seeking opportunities to be involved in important organizations like these ones.
What are some of your personal hobbies outside of finance?
I am a new father to an 8 month old, she has been the light of my life and spending my time outside of work with her is very rewarding. I am also a long-time season ticket holder for the Baltimore Ravens, hoping and wishing for a Super Bowl run. I also have a very large family in the DMV, and so we spend a lot of time together. Family, Football and Finance - what more could you want?
