What value do your services/solutions bring to the overall organization?

Our attorneys develop a deep understanding of the challenges our clients face in their industries and shape legal strategies that reflect their business goals and needs. We understand our firm is bigger than any one individual. Our attorneys work together to serve the needs of our clients and the communities where we work and live. We also view ourselves as “connectors.” Whether it is connecting entrepreneurs with investors, or beneficially introducing clients to others in their industries, we pride ourselves on being client advocates who bring people together to share experiences and best practices.

In what ways is your company giving back to the Baltimore community?

The attorneys in the Baltimore office of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr are committed to service to the community through their roles as civic leaders and members of the boards of directors of a number of the most prominent charitable and civic organizations in the Baltimore area. Some specific initiatives our Firm is also involved in, in addition to yearly community service projects, include the below:

Legal Institute of Just the Beginning (JTBF). Our Firm is a Founding Law Firm of this pipeline organization in Chicago and Baltimore dedicated to demonstrating to diverse high school students from low-income families the opportunities available to them in the legal profession. Our Firm has hosted career days for JTBF high school students to meet with our attorneys and staff to learn more about the practice of law; as well as employed JTBF students as summer interns as they prepare to transition from high school graduation to college.

The Thurgood Marshall Opportunity Law Clerkship Program. Our Firm is one of a handful of law firms partnering with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General to create and provide The Thurgood Marshall Opportunity Law Clerkship Program designed to attract diverse students who demonstrate not only a devotion to public service, but also exceptional leadership potential. The goal is to encourage these high potential diverse students to consider public sector service during their legal careers, and to provide these students with a summer internship that enhances their future employment opportunities.

Diversity Pipeline Programs. Our Firm has and/or participates in a number of diversity pipeline programs, such as Community Law in Action in Baltimore.

Greater Baltimore Committee. Our Firm supports the Greater Baltimore Committee, the leading business advocacy organization in the Greater Baltimore area, by participating as a sponsor in the Bridging the Gap Achievement Awards.
