Celebrating Women's History Month
I am so excited to celebrate Women’s History Month, especially as I look around me and see the tremendous growth of women in accounting since I first entered the profession over 30 years ago. Women continue to play vital roles in business, and I believe increasingly so in the services profession.
Women bring different perspectives and balance to conversations with our people, leadership teams, and clients – often using communication styles that convey empathy with the challenging situations we all deal with daily. This has become increasingly important as we continue to move through remote work, flexibility, and complete change in managing our personal and professional lives throughout the pandemic.
Women’s presence in business helps everyone gain more flexible working arrangements, spend more time with their families, and find balance in their professional and personal lives – setting the stage for making it all work successfully.
While we still have more work to do regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion, I believe the business world and our profession are in a better place because of the success we have had with women in business.
