On Sept. 17, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he would sign two climate disclosure bills recently passed by the California legislature. The bills are SB253, the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act, and SB261, which focuses on climate-related financial risk from greenhouse gases.

UFLPA 2023 updates
The 2023 report by the Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force added four companies to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) Entity List, which bans imports contaminated with forced labor in Xinjiang. In the first year of UFLPA enforcement, more than 4,000 shipments were reviewed.
