ILO releases new study on forced labor
An International Labor Organization (ILO) study found that illegal profits from forced labor rose 37% since 2014. The study also noted that forced labor generates about $236 billion in illegal profits per year and that 27.6 million people are engaged in forced labor worldwide.

European Union Council reaches agreement on CSDDD
The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) would require in-scope companies to conduct due diligence that assesses environmental and human rights issues across their value chain. The revised text raised thresholds for minimum turnover and employees.
