New California ESG-related legislation
A variety of ESG-related bills recently became law in California. In addition to the carbon offset bill mentioned above, the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act and the Greenhouse Gases: Climate-Related Financial Risk Act will require new corporate emissions and climate risk reporting, while the New Diversity Reporting Law will require venture capital companies to report certain demographic information.
