It is 2022, do you know where your summer interns are? We do! As we each kick off our year 2022, one item it is not too early (or too late) to think about is summer interns!
As in prior years, your FEI chapter will again facilitate a summer internship program between member and sponsor firms needing interns, and the several local colleges and universities with students eager for summer internships. The attached powerpoint slides describe the program, which is very similar to prior years. Also attached - very importantly - is the form to fill out to describe the internships your firm has. If your firm has not participated in the program in prior years, know that it is pretty easy. Just document the role, including your company's compensation proposal, and send the form to us. We bundle the internships our member and sponsor firms are offering and make them available to several of the local colleges and universities, both their accounting/finance departments and their career offices. Schools forward interested students to us, and we make that "resume book" available to you.
It is a program that can help you - a pipeline for young talent and support for projects - while you also help the community and industry - the students needing entry-level experience.

Want to get a firsthand look at some of this talent? Sign up to attend our Intern Night event scheduled for Wednesday March 2, 2022 at Brookside Country Club. It is a fun event, facilitated by Robert Half, where we talk about the program, and get to meet some of the young budding finance/accounting talent in the area.
