A bit about the Company
Payliance processes over 3mm transactions monthly with deep expertise in the lending, collections, E-commerce, and gaming industries. With years of experience in serving the changing needs of our clients, Payliance understands the unique compliance and risk management requirements that go beyond a traditional ACH or merchant services provider. For highly regulated industries (like lending), our proprietary approach to verification, processing and recovery services gives our clients an edge with the piece-of-mind that Payliance is the most trusted partner in payments.
Our ownership structure changed in 2019, whereby Serent Capital, a private equity firm, bought 70% of the company, with prior/current leadership continuing to own the remaining 20%. We are growing rapidly, both organically, and through M&A, having just completed the first of several anticipated transactions earlier this year.
Role Needs
Controller: Our current Controller is sadly retiring, leaving a critical opening to fill. S/he will own the books and records for the combined company (legacy Payliance + Secure Payment Systems, our recent acquisition), overseeing all transactional accounting (team of 2-4), and ensuring our books are fully GAAP compliant. They generate monthly financial statements, coordinate annual audit and tax activities, and are a key resource in integrating Secure Payment Systems processes into ours, along with those of future acquisitions. The ideal candidate is a CPA, who has served in an Accounting Manager or Controller capacity previously, with experience in payment processing, bank treasury operations, or similar industry, and has participated or managed acquisition integrations. They have a passion for improving processes, and developing people, and want to participate in a face paced environment that rewards hardwork and achievement.
Senior Accountant – Payliance products/platforms: Our Senior Accountant decided to move on late last year, and we need to replace him. This role is KEY to accounting for and analyzing Revenue to Gross Profit for our legacy Payliance products and operating platforms. They coordinate invoicing/revenue, customer-based reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, and book and analyze Cost of Revenue for those same products and operating platforms. They have a HIGH aptitude for analyzing large volumes of transactions, to identify revenue/cost drivers and trends. They interact often with our sales team to monitor the transition of new bookings into delivered revenue. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting roles, ideally in a payment processing, bank treasury, or similar industry, and they like to dig into the details. They also are proficient with systems analytical tools to make working with high volumes of data manageable. Huge attention to detail.
There will likely be a similar role, for the acquired business, coming later this summer.
FP&A Senior Analyst: Our FP&A person will dig deeper - to build product/customer profitability insights, establish and maintain KPI dashboards, assist in analyzing new business opportunities, and supporting current and future M&A, including modeling and integration support. They will also contribute in more day-to-day ways by coordinating monthly reporting packages and quarterly board decks.
