Winter Sessions Inspire, Educate, and Give Sneak Peak on Exciting Business Happenings

An inspiring presentation was delivered by Bradley Leon, Executive Director of BlueSky Institute, at the December 2023 meeting where attendees learned more about BlueCross BlueShield Tennessee's innovative educational program that allows students to earn a degree in computing and a job at BlueCross BlueShield Tennessee in 27 months.

In January, CFO and Chief Revenue Officer of Reliance Partners, Thom Albrecht, provided his insights on current economic trends and its impact on the transportation sector. Local business and finance leaders who attended the event gained knowledge on how the local economy has demonstrated a degree of resiliency throughout throughout economic downturns and is well-positioned to benefit from future growth.

Business and finance leaders who attended the February 2024 meeting got an incredible opportunity to hear from Chattanooga Airport's CEO, April Cameron, while visiting the airport for the special session. Attendees enjoyed a tour of the airport's new terminal gates, gleaned a deeper understanding of the efforts made by the airport team members to deliver world-class service to those traveling in and out of the city by air, and heard from April about her experience as CEO since her August 1, 2023 appointment by the Airport Authority.

Scott Simmons, Attorney at Miller & Martin, attended the event and said, "Chattanooga has an untapped gem in its airport, and April [Cameron] and her team are turning it into a genuine destination spot. The new terminal set to open is state-of-the-art; what a treat it was to get a sneak peek. 'Flying local' is becoming a more and more attractive option."

FEI's Chattanooga Chapter Sponsors, Members, and Guest extended its appreciation to the winter session speakers for offering innumerable insights, education, and networking in a fun setting.
