The Business Value of Corporate  Security:
Issues, Challenges and Trends of Importance for Chief Financial Officers Today
For many years, businesses of all sizes have addressed security matters in a tactical, reactive manner. Crises of significance, of course, quickly find their way to the C-suite – such as a cyber breach, workplace violence incident, employee fraud or misconduct, threats to executives, damage to brands or compromises of intellectual property. But prevention is rarely addressed from a comprehensive, risk-based, strategy-driven perspective. That’s increasingly a challenge – not just for security leaders, but also for Chief Financial Officers. Why? How the security function is led, organized, structured and funded can have a major impact on what CFO’s care a great deal about: financial performance, operating stability, risk management and shareholder value.

What is the current state of corporate security today – as viewed from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer? What are the security-related issues that distract CFOs from their principal duties by day and, too often, keep them up at night? What are the security-related priorities that most need their attention and why? Come find out – at Financial Executives International (FEI) Chicago Chapter’s October 20 Dinner meeting.  Join us for a discussion led and moderated by Arnette F. Heintze, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the strategic risk management firm Hillard Heintze.
