I am a seasoned academic leader with over 35 years of global administrative experience, having served as dean of business and senior scholar at major public and private universities with strong tradition of liberal arts education in both the U.S. (Loyola University Chicago) and Canada (Concordia and Dalhousie Universities). I am the founding director of the Quinlan Series on the Future of Business Education, Loyola University Chicago, with a mission focused on providing a national forum examining the challenges and opportunities facing business schools and business education in the 21st century. Presently, I hold the position of Executive Director of the Business Leadership Hub, an umbrella organization of multiple centers of excellence at the Quinlan School of Business.  My scholarly work on corporate debt policy, organization risk management, behavior economics, sovereign debt, restructuring, and corporate governance continues to be widely published and has been supported by major external research grants. Continue reading...

Steven Keith Platt’s teaching and research focuses on analytics and artificial intelligence. He is also responsible for infusing into the curriculum advanced technologies and supporting faculty research. Before joining the Quinlan School of Business, Steven served as Research Director at the Retail Analytics Council, Northwestern University, where he ran the AI Lab and Retail Robotics Initiative. At Northwestern he also taught AI courses to graduate students in the Department of Integrated Marketing Communications, Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, and Master of Science in Machine Learning and Data Science.
