2024 Economic Outlook Panel

FEI Cincinnati partnered with the Bank of America and the Cincinnati Business Courier for Outlook 2024:  Makers, Movers and Merchants.  2024 rings in with a volatile global marketplace, continued economic uncertainty, inflationary pressures and supply chain disruptions.

Bank of America Investment Strategist Rodrigo Serrano started the event discussing BofA's view on the 2024 US economy as stable with a slowdown in the first half of the year.  The US economy's resilience and global economic engine leader in 2023 will see a slowdown from the impacts of the Federal Reserve rate increases in 2023. However, their projected rate decreases starting in March for the next four quarters will temper the slowdown.

Panelists David Spaulding, President of Lithko Contracting (Maker), Ann Reed, Market President of Kroger Cincinnati and Dayton (Maker), and Greg Hamilton, CFO of Integrity Express Logistics (Mover) discussed their views from a local and company specific perspective, echoing many of the comments raised by Rodridgo.

The turnout was a great morning with such relevant information!
