Assistant Controller
(Work from home position)
Our finance department is searching for an Assistant Controller. This individual reports to our CFO and Worldwide Controller. The position duties include various revenue recording tasks, monthly reporting in multiple areas, working with auditors, and our annual budgeting process.
Responsibilities
- ASC-606 revenue recognition analysis and recording
- Bank covenant reporting
- Annual audited financial statement preparation
- Manage auditor relationships
- Interact with information systems function
- Participate in worldwide monthly and annual closing process
- ASC-842 lease analysis and interpretation
- Assist in annual budgeting process
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend meetings in Cincinnati office as required
Desired Experience
- 10+ years accounting experience
- Bachelor in accounting/finance
- CPA preferred but not required
- Ability to manage outside auditor relationship
- Foreign subsidiary and consolidation experience
- Experience with accounting software for various accounting functions
- Demonstrated accounting process analysis and improvement
- Demonstrated ability to recommend/implement technology enhancements
- Software industry experience preferred but not required
- Public accounting experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrated leadership of accounting staff
- Interaction with operation functions
- Working knowledge of recent accounting pronouncements
- Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
