The Taft Family first held public office in 1727 and has exemplified public service ever since. Scott Ehrnschwender traced five generations of the Cincinnati wing of the Taft family, beginning with Alphonso Taft. The family help to shape local, state and national politics for over 150 years as well as founded many of the cultural and economic institutions in Cincinnati that we cherish today. The talk touched on the lives of many members of the family and the common traits that permeated their drive to success.
