Please join us on Wednesday, September 16th for our Panel Discussion Program on M&A moderated by Michael Carter.  The distinguished panel members will include:

  • Private Equity:  John Almeida, Jr., founder and Managing Partner of Five Peaks Capital Management  
  • Mezzanine:  Carolyn Galiette, founding partner and Senior Managing Director, Ironwood Capital.
  • Private Equity - Minority Transactions:  Andrew Hertzmark, Managing Partner at Generation Partners
Mr. Carter is the founder of Carter Morse & Mathias, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in M&A for middle-market companies.  Throughout his career, Mr. Carter has served in many capacities including business founder, commercial lender, investment banker, board member and business advisor. 
 
Mr. Almeida is the founder and Managing Partner of Five Peaks Capital Management.  Previously he was with the private equity firm of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe where he invested over $2 billion of private equity capital in a variety of transaction structures including LBOs, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, rescue financing and distressed investing.
 
Ms. Galiette is a founding partner, Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Ironwood Capital.  Previously, Ms. Galiette was with Aetna, Inc. and PaineWebber.  Her experience includes originating, structuring, underwriting and distributing private debt and equity, asset-backed securities, commercial paper and other financial securities.

Mr. Hertzmark is a Managing Partner at Generation Partners, a Private Equity Firm, who targets equity investments of $10 million to $40 million and pursues both majority and minority equity positions in growth companies at various stages of development.  Prior to joining Generation in 2004, Mr. Hertzmark was at Galen Partners, a private equity firm focused on growth equity investments in the healthcare industry.
