5:00 - 6:00 p.m.- Professional Development Session, "Projections on the Future State of Mobility", presented by Daron Gifford, Partner, Strategy and Automotive Consulting Leader, Plante Moran.

Technology is driving unprecedented change in the transportation of people and commercial goods.  Research on the impact and growth of electric vehicles and autonomous technologies on the automotive industry indicate the potential for exponential growth of vehicle travel in the future.  Economic, societal and behavioral challenges will be discussed as both key hurdles and enablers in the progress of future mobility.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand key industry and technology drivers impacting automotive and manufacturing
• Review basic profiles on vehicle electrification and self-driving technologies
• Introduce automation concepts for Industry 4.0 technologies
• Background on financial investment and structural changes in the future
