Event Agenda

7:30 a.m. - Continental Breakfast & Networking

8:00 a.m. - Hot Topic Presentation, "Captive Insurance Solutions: What, Why, and How", presented by Oswald Companies' Jason Stevenson, Director of Captives & Programs, ALT/r.

Presentation summary:
Captive insurance companies may not be new, but innovative companies are finding new uses and ways to recapture margin and take control of their insurance and risk management programs using them.  There are two types of organizations that should very seriously consider captive – for opposite reasons but with equal motivation. In this roundtable, ALT/r’s Director of Captives and Alternative Risk details what are captives, what are their new and innovative uses, and who should consider utilizing a captive program to their advantage and why.  ALT/r is an independent captive and alternative risk consulting practice within Oswald Companies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify which kinds of organizations are right for captives – and which ones are not.
  • Understand what a captive can do – and not do – for any organization.
  • Learn new ways to use a captive – Hint: it’s not just a tax advantage!
