The Bernie Madoff Fraud: An Insider’s View

Join us for a unique opportunity to obtain an insider’s perspective on the largest Ponzi scheme in history, Bernie Madoff’s $65 billion fraud.

Bernie Madoff was responsible for the largest Ponzi scheme in history and is currently serving a 170 year prison sentence.  He had been a pillar of the community, including serving as the Chairman of NASDAQ.  When his firm collapsed in late 2008, it sent shock waves around the world.

Andrew Cohen came up in the ranks at Goldman Sachs, and after receiving his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, found his way to the trading desk for Bernie Madoff’s company, as its most profitable trader.  He has been a featured speaker on CNBC’s Power Lunch, as well as many other media outlets.  Subsequent to the collapse of Madoff’s empire, Andrew has started a second career as a lecturer at Old Dominion University and is a Bloomberg expert.

Andrew will discuss the inside story of what happened.
