April Meeting: Girl Scout Troops Present "Concrete Climate Ideas"

TOPIC: Concrete Climate Ideas: Girl Scouts Talk Embodied Carbon and Building Materials

Through homemade videos targeted to building professionals, presentations to industry groups, local government and media, Girl Scout Troops 1477 & 1952 have been working to inspire some serious industry buzz--and local action--to address embodied carbon of building materials, the upfront climate impact of building projects. Learn from the girls why they chose to do a take-action project about concrete, how everyone involved in making building decisions can make a difference,  and plans for expanding the project to engage youth nationwide with this high-impact issue.
