Company Overview
Beacon Athletics is an industry-leading, nationwide manufacturer and distributor of innovative sports field and practice products. Beacon transitioned to new ownership in May 2018. Aer-Flo Sports joined the Beacon team via acquisition as a wholly owned subsidiary in May 2021.

Position Overview
Oversee the day-to-day financial management of the organization. Ownership and execution of payroll and HR responsibilities, budgeting process, risk management, financial analysis, and IT. Advise the senior leadership team on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and financial results. Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure accurate inventory management, sales forecasts, and margin targets. Contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives, as well as the overall management of the organization.

Specific Responsibilities include:
• Oversee and direct the work of the accounting and finance teams.
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with a commitment to quality.
• Mentor and develop staff by assigning accountabilities, setting objectives, establishing priorities, and
conduct annual performance appraisals.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process.
• Provide analytical support to senior leadership team, including the development of internal
management reporting capabilities.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly reporting of parent and subsidiaries.
• Manage annual financial audit, income tax, sales tax, and other general compliance matters.
• Hands-on management of payroll and HR related tasks, including but not limited to payroll processing,
new hire on-boarding, 401K management, benefits. Manage and leverage PEO relationship.
• Hands-on management of IT systems and hardware. Manage and leverage outside support firm.
• Manage day-to-day relationships through effective personal communication and delegation to various
areas within the organization when appropriate
• Develop team by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining
strong employee relationships
• Perform other general accounting and finance duties or projects as assigned

Successful candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
 • Minimum of seven years’ progressive accounting experience, strong general business acumen, and understanding of general accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
 • Highly organized and efficient; capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a strong personal sense of urgency and driven to consistently exceed expectations. Ability to balance analytical knowledge with interpersonal interactions.
• Exceptional communication skills – Ability to clearly communicate ideas and information through excellent written and verbal communication both internally and externally.
• Multi-tasking Skills - Ability to multi-task and prioritize day to day responsibilities and services in an unpredictable environment. Work well independently.
• Technical Competency – Demonstrate the ability to learn and navigate sophisticated ERP systems. Sage 100 and Seradex experience preferred. ERP implementation experience a plus.
• Problem Solving Skills – Demonstrate the ability to analyze a problem for root causes and develop effective solutions to serve internal team member needs.
• Intellectual Curiosity – Actively seeks new information and ideas to improve personal, departmental and Company processes.
• Strong leadership and team building skills. Understanding of and support of the Beacon culture.
• Microsoft Office Applications – Demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to travel overnight 10% of the time.
