What Salem Has In Store For Oregon Business – A 2023 Legislative Preview

Please join FEI Portland for a discussion with JL Wilson, Principal at Public Affairs Counsel, highlighting the issues on the agenda in the upcoming legislative session expected to impact Oregon business.  JL has a 20-year history in public affairs and lobbying as past Executive Director of NFIB/Oregon and past Senior VP of Government Affairs at Associated Oregon Industries.  JL has been a full-time lobbyist representing primarily business interests since 2000.  Prior to that, he served as Legislative Director for two Speakers of the Oregon House.

JL will be sharing his thoughts around the key issues on the docket for the 2023 Oregon Legislative Session and possible impacts for Oregon business.  Considering that the state elected a new Governor and many new legislators, this will surely be a lively legislative session. You won’t want to miss JL’s insight so you can understand the issues on the table that could impact your business!

Prior to our dinner meeting, CBRE is bringing together a panel of three top Portland executives from a variety of industry sectors who led their organizations through the depths of the challenges posed by the pandemic yet emerged in a very strong position.  The panelists will be Tim Hysell, CEO/Founder of ZincFive, CEO/Founder Travis Rush of Reperio Health and Brandon Peele, VP at Schnitzer Steel, moderated by Ajay Malhotra of CBRE. These companies continue to thrive despite the current economic headwinds influenced by recession fears, inflation, interest rates, challenges with getting employees to return to the office, plus supply chain challenges and tight labor markets.  Please join us for what promises to be a vibrant discussion of successful leadership across different industries as we kick off 2023.
