A Message From Our President - November 2018

The program year is off to a great start. The CPE is flowing freely, our networking meetings in October and November were terrific, and we even managed to squeeze in a fabulous Sporting Clays philanthropy event to support Moffitt Cancer Center.

Our events are attracting the attention of the local press with a recent article in the Business Observer highlighting our October event at the Columbia Museum – more free advertising for the Columbia Restaurant (inside joke for those that attended the event) and another article in the Tampa Bay Business Journal highlighting our November post-election meeting with Dr. Susan MacManus.

I would also like to invite our members and sponsors to follow our new FEI Tampa Bay LinkedIn page for all the latest news, meeting highlights and pictures. Additionally, please take the time to fill out our meeting surveys that we send out after each monthly meeting. They are anonymous and reviewed by our Board, and we have gotten a lot of great feedback from them – so keep it coming.

Finally, please take the time to update your profile on the FEI Tampa Bay website so that your contact information and career information is up to date. It is a great resource for members to reach out to other members not only in Tampa Bay but other chapters around the country.

Our Holiday party at the Tampa Bay Yacht and Country Club is rapidly approaching. Mark your calendars for December 5th. Registration is already open. It is a wonderful venue and you are strongly encouraged to bring your significant others.

Also, be on the lookout for more information for our FEI Volunteer Day at the brand-new Junior Achievement Finance Park in North Tampa. We have Tuesday, January 29th reserved for our members and sponsors to volunteer and help 8th graders improve their financial literacy.

As always, we welcome your comments, suggestions, and participation. I look forward to seeing you at the Holiday party.
