Dear Members, Sponsors, and Friends of the Chapter,
As I prepare to turn over the FEI Tampa Bay chapter presidency to Rob Taylor, I wanted to say thank you to all of our members, sponsors and board members for your help over the last two years.
Midway through my first year as Chapter President the COVID-19 pandemic shut down in-person events and prevented us from networking in a traditional setting. Thanks to our incredible board members, sponsors, chapter administrator Denise Parker and communications specialist Kasey Brennan, we were able to transition to virtual events throughout the pandemic. In addition to our monthly gatherings, we also planned ad hoc meetings through the summer of 2020.
Our Sponsors were so helpful, providing ongoing content and opportunities for continuing education during this time. We will never be able to thank them enough for the opportunity to learn and connect in the midst of a challenging year. I appreciate the help and support of everyone – our members included – during this difficult time.
Our chapter recently returned to in-person meetings, and it has been so wonderful to see our members and sponsors in person. We are hopeful that with the continued availability of the vaccine more people will be comfortable returning to in-person networking events. We intend to continue offering labels for attendee badges to indicate your level of comfort in terms of face-to-face contact with others.
We are excited to welcome back our annual charity sporting clays event on September 24, 2021 at Tampa Bay Sporting Clays. This event will once again benefit Bay Area Advisors to support Moffitt Cancer Center's vision to transform cancer care through service, science, and partnership.
And lastly, save the date for our holiday party which will be held on December 1, 2021 at the Tampa Yacht & Country Club. This has historically been a very well attended event and offers a lovely venue for networking and holiday celebration.
Again, thank you to everyone involved in the FEI Tampa Bay Chapter. I look forward my continued participation on the board under the leadership of Rob Taylor.
