A Special Message from the President | COVID-19

FEI Tampa Bay Members, Sponsors and Friends,

We find ourselves in a bit of an unprecedented time as our city works to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). As a result, schools, restaurants and businesses have all made changes to keep our community safe. Our chapter too has made some changes.

As you may have heard, our March networking event at Steinbrenner Field was cancelled following the suspension of the MLB Spring Training season. I want to thank our sponsor, Fifth Third Bank, and speaker, Tony Bruno, for working with our Programs Committee to organize that event. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by our board and members.

Due to the current closure of Armature Works, our April event will also be cancelled. We hope that you understand the necessary changes are being made to protect our community and our members. We hope to hear from SoHo Capital Partners during our 2020 – 2021 Program Year.

Ways to Connect while Social Distancing
While this is a time of social distancing, there are ways to stay connected while we are apart. One resource available to our members is FEI Connect. Here you can chat with fellow finance executives and discuss the most pressing issues facing your business today. This is a great way to network while our chapter takes a break from in-person meetings.

Our member directory is also available to help connect you with members of the local chapter. To view this, login to your FEI Member portal.

I also encourage you to visit the FEI National website for a number of resources on dealing with coronavirus as a finance professional. These are uncertain times and we could all use a little help and encouragement as we lead our companies.

As always, our board is available should you have any comments or suggestions for our chapter. We hope you are all staying safe and plan to see you in May at Sparkman Wharf where we’ll hear from Strategic Property Partners.

Sincerely,

Joanne Dempster
Chapter President
