Oliver "Ollie" Sandlin joined Focus Strategies in 2017 after 25 years of experience in dealing with legal, accounting, and financial issues of middle-market companies. He has practiced corporate, tax and securities law in Austin with both large and small firms and has worked as outsourced and in-house general counsel for clients. Oliver has founded and successfully sold a FINRA-member broker dealer entity which specialized in private placements of securities and merger and acquisition advisory work. He also previously co-founded and was a principal of an Austin-based mergers and acquisition advisory firm that served privately-held middle-market clients throughout the southwestern United States, and was a managing director with a Houston-based investment bank. Oliver began his business career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Houston, where he focused on audit and management consulting work for large privately-held and public companies. Oliver earned BBA degrees in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M University, and a JD from the University of Texas School of Law. Oliver holds FINRA SIE, Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses.
