Mr. Dean co-founded Spinta Capital in 2016 after accumulating approximately 16 years of direct lending, capital raising and operational experience during which he completed close to $1.5 billion of debt financings for startups and middle market companies. Immediately prior to Spinta, he was the CFO of a tech-enabled home energy efficiency services start-up company for which he raised $52 million of debt and $2 million of equity. Formerly, Mr. Dean was a partner with White Oak Merchant Partners where he orchestrated over $160 million of financings for non-bankable credits. He also worked as a Director with Triple Point Capital and with NewStar Financial, a publicly traded commercial finance company focused on financing private equity supported companies. Mr. Dean began his career with Banc of America Securities, with the majority his tenor spent at Banc of America Mezzanine Capital, a $500 million fund focused on the bank's corporate and sponsor clients. Mr. Dean graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College.
