Matt has over 10 years professional experience and more than nine years focused directly on unclaimed property consulting and compliance. His clients are in diverse industries, f rom technology, health care and retail companies to oil & gas and f inancial service providers.
Matt has extensive experience with many aspects of unclaimed property. He focuses much of his time assisting clients through unclaimed property risk assessments and the subsequent steps to gain full compliance with unclaimed property laws. Those steps of ten include entering into multi-state voluntary disclosure/compliance agreements, initial compliance negotiation with states, policy/procedure review and drafting, and general consulting on unclaimed property best practices. In addition, Matt has advised many clients through unclaimed property multi-state audits performed by state third-party auditors. Matt also spends time working with clients to integrate and perfect annual compliance processes to ensure ongoing compliance across each of the unclaimed property jurisdictions.
