Jen Weaver


Jen Weaver attended The University of Texas School of Architecture where she achieved a Bachelor of Architecture. While studying, Jen learned about technical building practices by interning at a masonry company and lighting design firm. After graduation, Jen worked at a design-build firm in Austin where she learned construction management for three years. In New York City, Jen worked at an architecture firm specializing in mid-rise renovations and restoration with a focus on water infiltration mitigation. Upon returning to Austin, Jen began Weaver Buildings. She then designed, contracted, and developed Haskell Health House, which received local and national publication for being a model of urban infill solution that achieved a high degree of sustainable integration. Jen then achieved a Master of Real Estate Development from the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. While studying policy and finance, she wrote a white paper regarding the potential monetization and reallocation for carbon futures in real estate. Jen landed the largest commercial client as the commercial adviser for Incentifind, a national database for incentives, rebates, and tax credits. Jen contributes to thought leadership by writing articles for Texas Architect Magazine, has given a TEDx talk about designing a school in Haiti, and also participates in Austin’s Urban Land Institute Urban Council. Jen currently serves as a Commissioner for the City of Austin Design Commission.
