Karen Potter


Karen Potter brings more than 20 years of experience in client relationship development, with the last 15 years in professional services.  Her early career in technology led to her co-founding a services company which she grew to more than 7M in annual sales.  Karen joined Deloitte Consulting in Chicago in 2002 as a National Business Development Manager responsible for growing the CFO services practice within the Strategy & Operations area.  After successfully establishing a self-sustaining market channel and strategic software alliance, Karen joined Deloitte’s Financial Advisory Services group in 2005.  Her primary focus was global anti-corruption consulting and investigative services coordinating many significant world-wide engagements for top clients of Deloitte.
 
Karen transferred to Texas and in 2012 re-joined Deloitte to lead the charge within Deloitte’s Growth Enterprise Services Group/Deloitte Private as well as advance the sales culture for the Central & North Texas offices.
 
In 2013, Karen received an award from the Austin Chapter of the Financial Executives Institute for “above & beyond” contribution and outstanding chapter achievement.  She is a frequent speaker on the topic of “Effective Networking” and related sales training as well as a former Dale Carnegie professor.  Karen also is a certified Business Chemistry trainer for Deloitte.
 
Karen serves on the Board of the Women in Energy’s Network North Texas Chapter and is actively involved in the Network of Executive Women, Financial Executive Institute Dallas Chapter and many other civic activities.
