Greg Demirchyan


Greg provides legal counsel to technology start-ups and other emerging companies on transactional matters, including corporate governance, venture capital financings, and securities counseling on private offerings. Greg works closely with early-stage companies as they seek outside investments to fuel their capital needs and advises management teams on streamlining their business plans, organizing their company’s financials, and thinking strategically about company valuations. Currently, he leads the transactional side of Emergent's Blockchain & Digital Currency Group, and advises companies on state and federal securities laws, money transmitter laws, SEC, FinCEN, FINRA, Broker-Dealer, fund formation, ICOs, and alternative securities offering options (i.e. Reg A+, Reg D/506(c), Reg S, Equity Crowdfunding).

Prior to joining Emergent, Greg worked internationally as a legal expert on anti-corruption. During this time, he collaborated with business people and government officials to develop and implement a better business environment for emerging companies and foreign investors. Greg has published and presented on venture finance, company valuations, ICOs, blockchain technology, smart contracts, and data privacy. In addition to his JD from Berkeley Law, Greg holds a PhD in political philosophy from Cornell University.
