Kim Rush

Sets the strategic direction for Operations at NW Natural, the largest independent gas utility in the Pacific Northwest serving 2.5 million people in 140 communities.
Centered on safety and operational excellence, areas of oversight include Customer Acquisition, Engineering, Construction, Compliance, Customer Service, Billing and Account Services, Storage and Gas Control, Gas Supply, Field Services and Emergency Response, Resource Management, Transportation, and Corporate Communications. Rush also leads the company's decarbonization efforts focused on supporting renewable energy development and the acceleration of new, lowemissions technologies.
During her career at NW Natural, she has served in a variety of leadership positions including Vice President of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, and Director of Consumer Information and Internet Services. Prior to joining NW Natural, she held leadership and management positions at Alltel Corporation, and Bank of America Corporation in Chicago, Illinois.
Rush currently serves on the board of the Northwest Gas Association, ONE Future, and the Western Energy Institute, and she is a member of the Operations, and Climate and Sustainability Committees for the American Gas Association. Prior board experience includes Greater Portland, Inc., LifeWorks NW, Natural Gas Vehicles for America, and Utilization Technology Development affiliated with the Gas Technology Institute.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications at the University of Iowa, and a Master of Science in Communications at Northwestern University in Illinoi
