Challenges & Opportunities for a Decarbonizing Energy System

As Oregon drives for ongoing improvements in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, pressure is being placed on our energy systems to evolve. In Eugene, a City ordinance to prevent natural gas from being an energy source for new homes will now be decided by voters in November. Is this the beginning of the electrification of our state or will diversity and choice remain the cornerstone of our energy policy?

Please join us as Kim Rush, NW Natural's Senior Vice President, Operations, and Chief Marketing Officer provides insights and data around these critical issues that will impact both our businesses and personal lives moving forward.

Prior to our dinner meeting, we will have a PD session with Bank of America, "Navigating Choppy Waters: An Economic Update in an Uncertain Market", with Managing Director, Ian Kerrigan. We have all experienced the impact of an unusually volatile year in our economy - labor shortages, post-pandemic recovery efforts, inflation, talks of recession, housing market adjustments, rising interest rates and more. After these significant disruptions in the economy, we are all wondering: What is coming next?  Join us for this timely and informative discussion.
