Sarah Ovuka

Sarah Ovuka is a Professional Accounting Fellow at FEI where she is responsible for the accounting policy actions including overseeing advocacy, research, education and thought leadership in support of FEI’s network of senior-level financial executive members.  As part of this role, Ms. Ovuka liaises with the Chief Accounting Officers and Controllers that comprise FEI’s Committee on Corporate Reporting.  She also interfaces with other FEI technical committees and participates in various collaboration outlets of FEI.

 

Prior to Ms. Ovuka’s current role, she worked for EY where she served as an auditor from 2005 – 2012 and during that time was responsible for managing numerous audits across various industries.  In 2012, Ms. Ovuka transitioned to EY’s Americas Financial Advisory and Accounting Services (FAAS) practice where she advised multinational corporations on financial reporting issues including a focus on supporting companies manage through accounting change. Ms. Ovuka is a Certified Public Accountant in both New York and Virginia.
