A Seed is Planted - The Road to Bob's Red Mill

Pies cooling on the windowsill. The smell of freshly baked bread. Chili and cornbread on a crisp fall day. The memories evoked by food call us back to the cherished bonds with loved ones near and far. Bob’s Red Mill has been inspiring joy with wholesome foods for over 45 years.

Driven by their passionate belief in the health benefits of eating a diet rich in wholesome foods, Bob and Charlee Moore founded Bob’s Red Mill in 1978. They grew their business from a mom-and-pop operation delivering products out of their Buick station wagon, to a multimillion-dollar Company with products being delivered in shipping containers on cargo ships.

Years later, that same passion led Bob and Charlee to establish the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). They believed that sharing the Company’s success with the employees who helped build it was just the right thing to do. Becoming an ESOP required complex financial and legal transactions. As the former CFO leading these transactions, Trey will summarize the process and the benefits of becoming a 100% employee-owned company.

Today, Bob and Charlee’s legacy of passion, joy and generosity still stands. Bob’s Red Mill’s core values of respect, teamwork, accountability and determination serve as a guide on the Company’s journey.

Please join FEI Portland in welcoming Trey Winthrop, CEO | Bob's Red Mill and Brian Gill, CFO | Bob's Red Mill as they share insights into how Bob's Red Mill has Inspired Joy with Wholesome Foods through the years, what it means to be employee-owned, and transitioning to a company set for future growth.
