The Role of Regulation and its Burden on the Firm + Award Presentation

Join fellow Members, Partners, and future finance leaders at our Academic Awards ceremony. This year's awards will be presented to our scholarship recipients by Julie Pylypczak, Vice President at Robert Half Management Resources.

Anne Adler, CEO of Oregon Business Academy, will provide an overview of Oregon Business Academy’s program for high school students interested in business and entrepreneurship.

The role of regulation is to protect the well-being of people and support a healthy economy yet, to accomplish this goal, regulation inevitably creates a burden. OSU Professor, Jonathan Kalodimos, will walk us through how we should think about regulatory policy, what the benefits of regulation are and what can be done to limit the burden of regulation. These are important issues, without clear answers, but current research across many disciplines can provide context to think them through and provide a guide for navigating the regulatory environment.
