"The FED You Never Knew: How Social Mood Drives Financial Regulation"
 
The Federal Reserve System You Never Knew - What is the real purpose of the FED? (Not everything under the sun including managing inflation, the stock market, and the economy.)  Does the FED, in the form of the “Wizard of Interest Rates”, actually set rates, or just follow the market?
 
Why Do Things Happen the Way They Do? - Conventional wisdom has it that people are acted upon by external events. Every day we read that the stock market was up for this reason or down for that reason.  A study of social mood (socionomics) suggests just the opposite. This concept will be demonstrated with historic examples right here in San Antonio.
 
Cycling Through Financial History - Politicians and economists despise the concept of cycles. Yet they exist in the four seasons of nature as well in financial markets. A look back at past highs and lows dating to the founding of the USA in 1788 provides a road map of what to expect next.
