Recent Trends in Cybersecurity


FEI Knoxville is excited to welcome Jason Jarnagin and Kristy Norris with the FBI's Cyber Task Force | CART, as they discuss current trends in cyber threats and address how the FBI is deploying new ways of addressing these threats.  Jason and Kristy will describe an ongoing successful collaboration between the FBI and private industry and provide the anatomy of a ransomware attack, its 5 stages and examine what happens in each one. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss current threats in cybersecurity and what the FBI is doing to combat them
  • Take a look at the various stages of a ransomware attack and talk about what vulnerabilities and threats are in each
  • Understand what you can do to be better protected against cyber crime
