Orange Tree Employment Screening is a technology-enabled employment background screening firm based in Minneapolis, MN. Orange Tree leverages its proprietary technology platform to provide easy-to-use and fast background checks for new hires of middle-market businesses. Tonka Bay led the management buyout of Orange Tree from its individual ownership group in 2021. During the following years, the company completed 3 add-on acquisitions and built out a deep leadership team around the CEO including a CFO, COO and Chief Technology Officer, enabling rapid growth in revenue and EBITDA. In 2024 Tonka Bay sold Orange Tree to Accurate Background, the largest privately held global provider of background checks in the United States.
