Human Resource Issues for Private Companies
Best Practices for Private Companies

At private companies, where the focus may be on the 10-year plan, human resources professionals encounter different challenges. Corporate culture may be more defined by leadership preferences than by current market forces. The HR team may not be fully integrated or aware of the company’s long-term strategies. An entrepreneurial focus and compressed decision tree may speed up or slow down the forces that affect hiring, firing, and everything in between. HR professionals, aware of and obligated to adhere to federal, state and local labor laws, may be put in precarious positions by private company leaders seeking speedy returns, especially in start-ups and entrepreneurial atmospheres. Find out about these and other unique challenges that face the HR team at private companies.
